With Memories of the Earth, the João Pedro Teixeira Trio paints a vivid tribute to Rio Grande do Sul—its rhythms, stories, and landscapes—through 16 original compositions. Rooted in traditions such as bugios, xotes, and chamamés, the trio creates a rich musical tapestry where past and present dance in harmony.

João Pedro has performed in countries such as Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Brazil. He holds a bachelor's degree in accordion from the Som Maior Conservatory of Music and studied with masters Acioly Machado and Adelar Bertussi. For 12 years, he lived his "Masters of Dreams" alongside his friend and mentor Hermeto Pascoal, with whom he was a soloist in the concert "Hermeto Pascoal 80 Years" in 2016. His discography includes ten CDs and two DVDs.
Leonardo de Medeiros is a multifaceted guitarist, bassist, singer, and producer whose career began in 1982 with Grupo Terra Santa at the nativist festivals of Rio Grande do Sul. He has performed with renowned artists from Rio Grande do Sul and taken Brazilian music abroad through work in Curitiba, Lisbon, and Madeira Island. Leonardo has contributed to recordings by João Pedro Teixeira and served as bassist and producer for Luiza Barbosa (The Voice Kids 2019) and Bibiana Alves.
Jean Carlo Godoy is a composer, arranger, and music producer with a degree in Popular Music from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), specializing in guitar as his primary instrument. His work blends South American roots with influences from jazz, tango, choro, and samba. He has performed with major names in Native music and collaborated on instrumental projects with artists such as Leandro Rodrigues and Gilberto Monteiro. His debut album, "Mi Sonido," showcases his original style, and he also produces for other musicians.

João Pedro and Miquèu Montanaro's collaborative project is a dialogue between cultures and timbres, intertwining the expressive warmth of the accordion with the lyrical resonance of the flute. Rooted in the rich traditions of Brazilian and Occitan music, their repertoire blends original compositions and reimagined folk themes, with influences from baião, forró, and choro, as well as Mediterranean and improvisational influences.
Their performances highlight the versatility of both instruments, with João Pedro's accordion ranging from earthy and rhythmic to delicate and melodic, while Montanaro's flutes introduce ethereal textures and inventive phrasing. The result is an intimate yet adventurous musical journey—where the traditional roots of two countries meet contemporary imagination.

Miquèu Montanaro is a renowned French multi-instrumentalist, composer, and improviser, best known for his innovative work with traditional Mediterranean and Occitan music. Born in Provence, he has dedicated much of his career to blending folk traditions with elements of contemporary and world music.
Montanaro is particularly associated with the galoubet-tambourin (a small bagpipe-drum combination native to Provence), but he also plays various flutes and other traditional instruments.
